Today on the podcast, we’ll be talking about digital experiences—trends, areas of focus for improving digital experience practices, and how Infoverity can help. Joining us for this discussion is Andrew Rocha, managing partner and co-founder of DXROI.
Welcome, Andrew! Thank you so much for joining us. Before we dive into the subject at hand, could you tell our listeners a little bit about yourself?
Andrew Rocha 00:42:
Absolutely. Thank you for having me.
On a personal note, I’m a husband, father of three, and I live in Dublin, Ohio. I come from a big family—one of ten siblings!
On the professional side, I co-founded DXROI alongside John, Brett, and Sarah. Before that, I was Global Chief Revenue Officer at Drift, Group VP for North America at Oracle Marketing Cloud, and Group VP for Adobe Experience Cloud. I’ve been in the digital marketing and digital experience space for 13 years.
Jocelyn 01:27:
That’s an incredible background! Thank you for sharing that.
Now, we’ve never discussed DXROI on the podcast before. Could you explain the partnership between Infoverity and DXROI?
Andrew Rocha 01:48:
Absolutely. DXROI stands for Digital Experience ROI. We’re a majority-owned subsidiary of Infoverity, created to bring end-to-end digital transformation services—from data readiness to digital experiences.
John and I have known Infoverity’s founding members since before the company’s inception. We had conversations with Matt, Steve, and Mark about joining forces to cover the full spectrum of digital transformation, and that’s how DXROI was born.
Jocelyn 02:36:
That’s fantastic! Personally, I’m very excited about this partnership because it provides our clients with a well-rounded set of solutions.
To set the stage, could you define digital experience (DX) for our listeners?
Andrew Rocha 03:20:
Great question! Digital experience is a subset of customer experience (CX), focusing specifically on digital interactions. This includes:
- Websites and mobile applications
- Email, search, and display advertising
- Personalization and customer journey mapping
It’s about optimizing all digital touchpoints to enhance customer engagement and business outcomes.
Jocelyn 04:14:
That’s really helpful! Now, let’s talk about trends in the digital experience space. Where is the industry heading?
Andrew Rocha 04:35:
Some key trends we’re seeing:
- Data is making a comeback– Companies realize they need strong data governance to enable meaningful digital experiences.
- AI and large language models– AI is transforming digital experience practices, from content creation to advanced analytics and segmentation.
- Analytics and insights are surging– Customer journey analytics and behavioral insights are critical for understanding and optimizing engagement.
Jocelyn 07:17:
I completely agree! AI is exciting, but many companies realize they need to clean up their data first to maximize AI’s potential.
For organizations looking to improve digital experience (DX) practices, where should they focus their investments?
Andrew Rocha 08:47:
That depends on the organization, but generally:
- Start with strategy– Understand business objectives before choosing tools.
- Align teams and processes– Ensure alignment across executives, practitioners, and implementers.
- Focus on data readiness– Clean, structured data is critical for AI, personalization, and automation.
- Measure ROI– Establish clear metrics to track impact and secure continued investment.
Jocelyn 10:45:
That makes a lot of sense! Now, let’s talk about how Infoverity and DXROI can help clients with their digital transformation initiatives.
Andrew Rocha 13:40:
The Infoverity + DXROI partnership provides end-to-end digital transformation services, covering both data readiness and digital experiences.
- Infoverity specializes in data governance, data management, and analytics.
- DXROI focuses on digital marketing, customer journey orchestration, and personalization.
Many companies struggle because data teams don’t understand how data will be used, and DX teams assume data is already prepared. Our combined expertise bridges this gap, ensuring that data is ready, structured, and actionable for delivering exceptional digital experiences.
Jocelyn 16:12:
That’s a powerful approach! Looking at the entire data-to-experience lifecycle ensures business objectives drive technology investments.
To summarize today’s discussion:
- Digital experience (DX) is a critical subset of customer experience (CX).
- Trends include AI, analytics, and renewed focus on data governance.
- Organizations should align digital initiatives with business objectives.
- Measuring ROI is essential for sustaining investments.
- The Infoverity + DXROI partnership provides an end-to-end transformation framework.
Andrew, would you say that’s accurate?
Andrew Rocha 18:43:
Yes! One additional thought—DX is much richer in data than traditional CX. Digital touchpoints provide detailed insights into customer behaviors, helping businesses refine engagement strategies.
Jocelyn 19:45:
That’s a great point! Before we wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to add?
Andrew Rocha 19:55:
Just that I’m passionate about digital transformation, and I hope this discussion helps our listeners navigate their own DX journeys!
Jocelyn 20:06:
We’d love to have you back for future episodes! Thank you so much for joining us today, Andrew.
Andrew Rocha 20:16:
Thank you for having me!
