Master Data Management Solution Provides Centralized View of Patient Records for Largest Health System in New Jersey

A Master Data Management (MDM) solution, implemented by Infoverity, now allows Hackensack Meridian Health “to view patient encounters in a central repository to see, for example, that a patient went to certain doctors offices, had these things done, went to this lab, had these tests done, went to the hospital, had a certain procedure and what the follow-up looked like.”   Hamilton explained that the MDM solution also provides Hackensack Meridian Health with a view into each patient’s expense, provider’s expense and the payer’s expense as the health system strives to make its services cost-effective and accessible to different zip codes or patient populations.  

According to Andy Crago, a Managing Consultant at Infoverity, “From an architecture perspective, we consolidated all of the different silos of patient data into a centralized repository for Hackensack Meridian Health.  We wanted to be able to master once and publish to a canonical model that’s more self-service and “hub and spoke”, so as consumers and customers need the data, they can come and get it from a centralized place.  We can augment the data that’s available there, and scale that with the architecture across real-time capabilities, cloud, and other use cases that we come across.”
